In the Wake of Her Passing

This just in: Anna Nicole Smith has been found dead in her hotel room in the Hard Rock hotel and casino. She ranks up there with the big porn names like Jenna Jameson and Peter North.

And all of a sudden, the net’s full of stories like this one. I mean, puhleeze. Can’t you soften up on the sensationalism? Worse comes to worst, the world just lost one more person to model the boudoir pack by F. Let the woman be, for cryin’ out loud.

You could prolly find several other articles in the same vein on the net, but they’re mostly made up of the same stuff. Fluff without meat. I know her death was just hours ago, but isn’t there anything that could be reported aside from back-issues of her life and the condolences from bizness bigwigs she worked with in the past? Give us something more solid! This is like when Steve Irwin passed away, except that Steve didn’t flash himself for the entire world to see.

On other news, I haven’t made any changes to this site yet. The blue is starting to give me a headache.

Hannibal Rising

I didn’t know there was a new book. When Ed Norton came out as Will Graham in Red Dragon, I couldn’t wait for the 9th. I remember I had this little calendar, which I was marking off, no matter how dorky it may sound, by the day.

Heard that Anthony Hopkins won’t be playing Hannibal this time around though, which is a real drag. What’s Hannibal without him? A really lopsided villain, that’s what. He’s what people actually watch out for in the books and movies. Altho some photos of the young doctor show him brandishing this mean-looking sickle, which made him look really menacing, but nothing like Hopkins’ portrayal. Oh well, we'll just have to see on the 9th. Happy month of hearts!

That's Better

That looks a little better. Drab tho. Anyway. To business!

Welcome to Living in Eternal Sunshine, where the sun’s always as ripe as the Acapulco day. Or at least it should be. The color scheme’s nowhere near what I want it to look like, but I am just starting, haha. Gimme a couple of days. Or drop me some of your ideas (I need 'em, really).

In the meantime, check this out:

With Valentine’s coming up, and so are the thematic films, but Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore? The last romance Hugh Grant filmed was Bridgette Jones: The Edge of Reason, and he wasn’t even anywhere near Colin Firth’s character. How Music and Lyrics will be doing is beyond me, but let’s wait and see.

The film hits theaters on the 14th of February.

Hardly a trendy-looking site

The title says it all. The pinks and the lavenders just don’t connect (and something tells me I need a banner). More to come! Meanwhile, things are a-brewing over at this site. Anyone up for glitz competitions?
